Block 1: Industriousness
"There is no substitute for work. Worthwhile results come from hard work and careful planning."
This means if you work hard for what you want to accomplish you will accomplish your goal. This also means to push yourself to the limit to achieve what you set yourself to do. Push the limits every day.

Block 2: Enthusiasm
"It is the engine that powers all blocks of the Pyramid. It is why I chose Industriousness and Enthusiasm as the cornerstones of my Pyramid of Success. It is where everything begins."
This means to have an eager enjoyment, interest, or approval. That you can be enthusiastic about working hard in school that you can get good grades and graduate. Also that you can achieve the goals that you set for yourself.

Block 3: Friendship
"Comes from mutual esteem, respect and devotion. Like marriage it must not be taken for granted but requires a joint effort."
This mean to have respect for each other and to trust  each other. Also to be honest with each other. But you don't have to tell them everything they nay be your friends but they are not family if you don't consider them as family. I consider most of my friends family because I knew them for a long time and because I can trust them.

Block 4: Loyalty
"To yourself and to all those depending upon you. Keep your self-respect."
This means to be supportive or allegiance to someone or something. An example is being loyal to your friends you should always be there and support them even if they are not doing the right thing but just give them advice to do the right thing instead of the wrong.

Block 5: Cooperation
"With all levels of your co-workers. Listen if you want to be heard. Be interested in finding the best way, not in having your own way. "
This means to work together with your classmates. You can also work together with your friends on planning a birthday party for one of your friends birthday. Also working with your group to finish your project, for example working on our IDP.

Block 6: Ambition (For noble goals)
This means to have the desire to do or achieve something. Also requires determination and hard work. This also means to have the desire and determination to be successful. In order to be successful you have to work hard for it, don't just slack off on something you want to accomplish work hard to achieve it.

Block 7: Self-Control
"Practice self-discipline and keep emotions under control. Good judgement and common sense are essential."
This means to have the ability to control oneself, in particular one's emotions and desires or the expression of them in one's behavior, especially in difficult situations. For example if someone gets you mad and you jut want to express what you want to say don't because you might regret it if you do. 



Block 8: Alertness
"Be observing constantly. Stay open-minded. Be eager to learn and improve."
This means the quality of being alert. This can also mean to be alert about your grades because you don't want to fail a class.

Block 9: Initiative
"Cultivate the ability to make decisions and think alone. Do not be afraid of failure, but learn from it."
This means to take charge of what you do not what others tell you to do. Take charge your life, don't let others control you or your life. If you fail a class don't stress about it a lot because you can always bring it up. There are multiple ways you can show initiative, you can show initiative at work, school, etc.

Block 10: Intentness
"Set a realistic goal. Concentrate on its achievement by resisting all temptations and being determined and persistent."
Intentness has multiple meanings to it. For example firmly or steadfastly fixed or directeddetermined or resolved; having the mind or will fixed on some goal.

Block 11: Sincerity (keeps friends)
This mean the quality of being free from pretense, deceit, or hypocrisy.

Block 12: Adaptability (to any situation)
This means the quality of being able to adjust to new conditions. This means that you can adapt to life. If you want to be successful you can adapt to that life style, or you can adapt to the life that is not successful. I rather be apart of the life that is successful.

Block 13: Condition
"Mental-Moral-Physical. Rest, exercise and diet must be considered. Moderation must be practiced. Dissipation must be eliminated." 
This means the state of something, especially with regard to its appearance, quality, or working order. This is important because you should be rested for school that you have energy throughout the day. Also that you can be awake in class to pay attebtion in class. also if you have a test the next day then you should be rested that you can do your best on the test.

Block 14: Skill
"A knowledge of and the ability to properly and quickly execute the fundamentals. Be prepared and cover every little detail."
This means the ability to do something well; expertise. This means that you are good a certain thing but you can also be good at many other thing. You can have a skill at doing all work and turning them in on time. Also in sports for example in swimming you can be good at butterfly, breaststroke, freestyle, or backstroke. Personally I'm good at freestyle but i like breaststroke.

Block 15:  Team Spirit
"A genuine consideration for others. An eagerness to sacrifice personal interests of glory for the welfare of all."
This means feelings of camaraderie among the members of a group, enabling them to cooperate and work well together. If you are in a sport you have to wwork as a team not individually. For group projects yoou have to work as a team if you want to get a good grade. Not only one person should be doing the work because it wouldn't be fair if the one person did the work and the whole group gets the grade even though they didn't do anything.

Block 16: Honesty (in thought and action)
"Honesty is the best policy." (Ben Franklin)
This means to be truthful with others and to yourself. You should be honest with your friends and your friends should be hnest with you.

Block 17: Resourcefulness (proper judgment)
 “Make the most out of what you have.” (Anonymous)
"If you have a dream, if you have something you've always wanted to do, look within yourself because that is where resourcefulness resides; and go for it. (Jennifer Witterick)
This means to find ways to overcome things. For example, if you have a class that you don't want to be in you can either just deal with it or you can talk to your counsoler about switching that class. Also if your grades are not so good you can do your late work and turn it in if the teacher lets you but if not you can probably talk to the tearch and ask if there is anythng you (yourself) can do to bring up my grade.

Block 18: Poise
"Just being yourself. Being at ease in any situation."
This means to be graceful and elegant bearing in a person. Being graceful anf elegant means to just be yourself. This means do not change for another person if that person doesn't like the way you are then don't change for them. Poise also means to be balanced.


Block 19: Confidence 

"Thorough preparation breeds confidence" Gerald Bell in
"The Carolina Way"
This means to be confident in what you are doing. Don't let others tell you what you can and what you can't do. Be confident in yourself.

Block 20: Reliability (creates respect)
This means being trustworthy. It pretty much just means that someone can trust you and respect you. They can rely on you to keep a secret.

Block 21: Fight (determined effort)
This means that someone is determined to finish something that they started. Students are determined to graduate and to get into a college or even get a job.
Block 22: Competitive Greatness

" Be at your best when your best is needed. Enjoyment of a difficult challenge."
This means be at your best when your best is needed. When you are in class you try your best that you can pass the class. Also for the seniors in HPIAM do their best on senior defence that they can pass and graduate. 
Block 23: Integrity (purity of intention)
This means the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness. For example, you should be honest with people about certain things. The truth does hurt but lying hurts the most. 

Block 24: Faith (through prayer)
Believe and Achieve. Positive belief
This means having a complete trust or confidence in someone or something. It also means having a strong belief in god or other religions.

Block 25: Patience (good things take time)
This means the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset. For example, when you are waiting in line you have to have patience to wait in line instead of just getting frustrated and just getting out of line.

FINAL REFLECTION:
Write one final reflection, at least 25 sentences or 300 words, on the 25 blocks of the Pyramid of Success. Include this reflection at the end of your Pyramid of Success post. Include a picture or two. 
The 25 blocks of the Pyramind of Success will be useful through out my life because it will help me be more successful. I will try to use the 25 blocks of the Pyramid of Success. Trying to be successful will always be a rough road. The 25 blocks have taught me many things that will be very helpful. Most of the the blocks i stuggle with but i plan on improving them. Also the rest of them im good at but it is still better to make improvements on them.
